it’s a special support unit/mechanic tied to electricity and light. They are introduced as part of the new electricity system centered around the Lighthouse and Blood Night mechanics.

They function like mobile light carriers and support units that help your troops and alliance in multiple ways on the world map.

🔋 How Electricians Are Obtained

Electricians are unlocked progressively by raising your Optoelectronic Lab (a key seasonal building):

Level 1 Optoelectronic Lab → 1st electrician

Level 3 → 2nd electrician

Level 10 → 3rd electrician

Level 15 → 4th electrician

Each electrician corresponds to a generator — these generators produce electricity that feeds your lighthouse.

🔦 Primary Functions of Electricians

1. Provide Light on the Battlefield

When attached to a troop, an electrician illuminates darkness, giving your squad advantages at night such as:

• Neutralizing the “Blood Night” zombie buffs (during night events zombies become stronger).

• Reducing debuffs that occur if your troops are in darkness.

• Helping troops see and explore without suffering strength penalties.

2. Support Your Allies

Electricians can be sent to allied player bases to increase their light status and electricity, helping them keep their lighthouses running and avoid darkness penalties.

This creates a cooperative strategy: alliances that circulate electricians can help each other stay powered.

3. Generate Bonus Profession EXP

If you have the Top Up EXP profession skill, when an electrician returns from supporting units on the world map, you gain profession EXP (up to 100,000 per day).

This makes electricians useful not only for combat support but also for career progression in the profession system.

4. Enable Special Season Rewards & Events

Electricians play a role in seasonal activities such as charging the Divine Tree for event rewards — sending them to these objectives contributes progress.

⚠️ Tradeoffs When Using Electricians

While electricians provide big benefits, they disconnect from your generators when attached to troops, which temporarily reduces power going to your base’s lighthouse. That can be risky if power levels are tight.

So it’s important to manage your generators, lighthouse brightness, and electrician assignments wisely.
